Hi, I’m Belinda,

Mum of three and passionate advocate for children with learning and developmental needs—founder of
The Child Centred Learning Tree, supporting families with children aged 2–18.

Our Story

For over sixteen years, I’ve worked in classrooms, various care services,  private and public schools as a teacher and as a parent, listening to stories of worry, frustration, and hope.

Again and again, I’ve met families who felt lost in the system, struggling to be heard while juggling endless appointments and advice. I started The Child Centred Learning Tree because I know from experience: it shouldn’t be this hard to access clear, collaborative, and informed support, from early intervention through to school readiness, literacy, and strategies that help your child to succeed.

My aim is simple: to be the person in your corner, someone who listens, coordinates, and genuinely cares.

As a qualified, VIT-registered teacher, I’ve worked with children from early years through to teens, supporting social development, emotional regulation, learning challenges, and transitions across the school system.

The Child Centred Learning Tree brings families, educators, and professionals together as one team, with a unified plan.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood, Primary & Secondary Education
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registered Teacher
  • Educational Practitioner, The Child Centred Learning Tree
  • Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations for Early Childhood certification
  • Additional certifications: Neurodiversity, Positive Parenting,
    ADHD Coach, First Aid

Our mission

At The Child Centred Learning Tree,
we believe every child is unique,
and every journey is different

That’s why we make support personal, offering strength based support and guidance that fits your child’s individual needs.

We’ll work alongside families, teachers, and medical or allied health professionals across Melbourne, making sure everyone is truly connected and understood.

True learning and development go beyond grades and checklists. They’re about helping children grow in confidence, independence, and self-regulation, while nurturing inclusion, life skills, and a love of learning from childhood through the teen years.

Our mission is to be in your corner, every step of the way, helping families feel supported, identifying strengths others might miss, and making sure no child (or parent) ever feels alone on the path to reaching their full potential.
